About Wamato Foundation
Wamato Foundation was established in memory and honor of William Towett (1951-2017) and Martha Towett (1959-2012) to advocate for young orphaned scholars. Both William and Martha were strong advocates for all children getting an education to better their lives and change their trajectories. Martha Towett gave of herself tirelessly to the communities where she lived in both Olenguruone and Nakuru, Kenya supporting and developing young scholars and being an advocate for those who had no one to fight for them.
A child who qualifies for support from the foundation will have their school fees, uniforms, and books provided by the foundation until they finish high school. All fees will be paid directly to the school. If the high school KCSE performance is good enough to be admitted to a local university or college, the foundation at the time will determine what kind of support to provide them.
